Anne Francis, atriz norte-americana do clássico de ficção científica "Planeta Proibido" (Forbidden Planet), de 1956, morreu no domingo, 2, aos 80 anos - nasceu em 16 de setembro de 1930.
A atriz morreu em uma casa de repouso em Santa Barbara, Califórnia. Anne foi submetida a cirurgia e quimioterapia após ser diagnosticada com câncer de pulmão em 2007 e morreu de complicações decorrentes de câncer de pâncreas, como disse sua filha, Jane Uemura.
